.
echoes of Autumn…
.
voices like leaves rustle and
.
scatter to the wind,
.
yet another poet’s pen
.
has sadly been set aside.
.
.
.
.
a wordless farewell…
like the brightest leaves they fall
.
when their season calls.
.
but just as the memories
of true love always lingers,
.
.
.
creativity
.
and their inspired poetry
.
forever remain.

love the fall.. A time for walking, a time for seeing all the good about nature.. love it. eve
an amazing tribute. like the leaves, the words fall quietly and command a moment of silent reflection. such power.
well ty bob, all of these poets befriended and encouraged me early on when i first began writing poetry in April,
it’s always a little shocking when they just disappear without warning. i miss their poetry and their friendship as well.
i understand that. who knows what goes on when someone we look to vanishes, but it is a mark of sincerity that you pay homage vs writing them off.
Love Nature !, Love Trees, Birds and flowers. They calm the sometimes worried brow and bring peace within. I am not a poet but like reading them. If you enjoy sonnets you may be interested in Richard Vallance who is teaching me to read and write Linear B Scripts .He is also a poet. Thanks for sharing
Rita, i’m so sorry but WP placed your comment in the SPAM file and
i just happened to look there today. not quite the very warm welcome
i usually offer my friends, ty for your comment and the sonnet suggestion.
i’ve not written a sonnet so maybe it’s time…..
Well I am glad you found my message anyway . No apologies needed.
I will be back for more of your poems.
my door is always open…
It is sad when friends fade out of our day to day lives. We can only hope they have moved on to bigger and better things or exciting lovely things keep them away and not tragedy.
I think i’m accepting it more now,
hoping as you stated that all is well.
but I still miss their poetry….
A lovely, poignant tribute, my friend. I still grieve the loss of our friend thesilentfingers’ potent pen, but hadn’t know that these other talented writers and stopped :(. All the more reason to stay with it. xo
thanks Chloe, I knew I would have to write this one of these days…
I just found some old correspondence i had with silentfingers, and yeah I really miss her too.
Just think I bet you cross their minds as well.
Take comfort in having had them.
Your tribute was beautiful.
ty and i do take great comfort, all of them have been instrumental in the
writing and development of my poetry so i thought it was only right i thank them.
🙂 Very nice thing to do 🙂
Beautiful poem. I miss cubby, too. She always took the time to share insightful comments regarding my poetry, and I love how she engaged her readers, encouraging them to try new forms. I checked her blog recently and see that a lot of others miss her, too.
ty Cindy and i didn’t think i was alone in missing cubby,
and i feel that way about the other poets as well. this poem
had been just below the surface for months, i’m glad it’s written .
I love the message you deliver in your words, your poem is so well written! Thanks for sharing!
well ty so much Wendell, i was trying not to get too sentimental
which would have been easy to do with a tribute poem, i’m glad you liked it.
Feeling the melancholy along with you. Didn’t realize Tiffany had left until I read your poem. I enjoyed her writing and the interaction – will miss her. —Chagall
hi Chagall…yes, she was very engaging, we had days long conversations
which i will miss along with her brilliant poetry.
Yep. A blend of naughty, nice, and sublime. Sorry she took her site down. Interesting that some pick up and leave while others pack up and go. —CC
yeah it is, i’m really sorry she deleted her work
but i guess it’s not for me to understand the why.
Always! I miss them too. What a beautiful, moving tribute.
hi Noora, it’s funny how the loss of their poetry leaves such a void,
i’m grateful to have known them while they were here writing.
I wandered over to the Dragon’s the other day….
you wrote a wonderful poem…Thank you….
Take Care…You Matter…

i knew i would have to write ‘something’ one of these days, then Tiffany left unexpectedly
and that brought everything to the surface, ty maryrose. they will and are missed.
Such a wonderful tribute. I miss Cubby and a couple others who have gone quietly from WP… hopefully they are happy and well.
