The Angel of Redemption
.
.
.
.
.
high on a mountain
.
.
resting in the Sun washed sky,
.
.
day never meets night,
.
.
and the Stars never die.
.
.
low clouds… they wait suspended in
.
.
.
.
.
a permanent air…
.
.
alone on the peak
.
.
with the Heavens nearby,
.
.
and speaking in tongues
.
.
with her half Sister the Moon,
.
.
.
.
.
an Angel sits there.
.
.
i’ve traveled this jagged path
. .
.
of a difficult life,
.
.
plateau… by plateau,
.
.
reaching… time and… again
.
.
.
.
.
climbing this mountain of strife.
.
.
and restless souls
.
.
sleep the sleep of despair,
.
.
while we stumble…
.
.
stumble blind
.
.
.
.
through the night…
.
.
my clear eyed Angel
.
.
beckoned as I reached the peak,
.
.
she sat me down… and held my hand.
.
.
together… we watched
.
.
.
.
.
our Universe unfold there…
.
.
she spoke softly in
.
.
a tranquil dialect of unconditional Love,
.
.
in the purest syllables of Truth.
.
.
the Truth
.
.
.
.
only the Innocent know.
.
.
her words dreamlike swirling in the still air…
.
.
as i became the story in her eyes,
.
.
slowly… the burden of years…
.
.
the remnants of wronged perception,
.
.
.
.
.
and the dead weight of doubt began
.
.
.
………………..lifting
.
.
.
……….floating
.
.
.
………………..rising
.
.
.
becoming one with
.
.
.
.
.
the Infinite Memory of Stars.
.
.
amidst the permanent air of the Universe.
.
.
a celestial reminder
.
.
the eternal gift of Love given being returned,
.
.
time…and time…and again..
.
.
.
.
.
as our finite days become forever…
.
.
and we become another…
.
.
like imploding Stars morph into matter….
.
.
because Love given…like a Star

For reasons unknown, NGC 6357 is forming some of the most massive stars ever discovered. One such massive star, near the center of NGC 6357, is framed above carving out its own interstellar castle with its energetic light from surrounding gas and dust.
That was lovely. Beautiful words accompanied by soulful music. Felt the cares drift away.x
ty so much scottishmomus. it means a lot that you felt that “drift away’,
without providing too many details as i usually do, it’s what i was
hoping you could feel. i wanted to share the release that i did, and still am.
i seem to be having more than a few
moments with my daughter like this one.
what a gift she is!
Sounds like special moments. Always a pleasure when we can commune with our children. Doesn’t always happen. ;)x
yes it was special, i so needed to hear what she told me too. she’s becoming her own
person now at 13, with her own perceptions and opinions and she’s a pleasure to talk with,
a revelation a minute! lol! i can barely keep up!
More fun to follow as the years go on…… 24,23,20,18,16,12,6 are my lot! Revelations, yes. A laugh a minute? Not always. But it makes for an interesting life. ;)x
scottishmomus, you are quite amazing. this parent places
you on a pedestal, and that you can find the time and
energy to be so creative as well.
the Holidays at your house must be a blast!
They’re certainly something. 😉 No pedestals here. The older ones keep me in check! :)x
I adore the music – serene. At first I thought this was of Scout – then I read the tags and saw daughter ~ heart melt moment {hugs}
hi Jen, no this was borne from another conversation with my daughter, she told me
things only she could, things that i didn’t want to write ‘directly’ about so i
turned this cathartic momnent into a fantasy poem. ty, yes it was a long time
in coming heart melt moment. sending Love and Hugs to you Jen, my dear friend.
Reblogged this on 20 Lines A Day.
So beautiful….
oh ty so much muddletation, i really appreciate you saying that
because i struggled with this poem. i think you would understand
since you write such beautiful Haiku, this was originally
planned in Haiku / Tanka but i just couldn’t say what i wanted
to in the syllables, so i discarded the forms instead.
I know exactly what you mean 🙂 Sincere thank you for your feedback.
Let’s just say I fell headfirst into your words
well ty, what a sweet thing to say muddletation,
and you are most welcome. your Haiku are among the
finest that i read on WP.
So glad you tossed the forms…this is so spare and transcendent, cathartic and tear-inducing, especially with the beautiful music you selected. Thank you.
oh ty peppahh, i really appreciate you reading that comment and
telling me that. though i am glad i began in the discipline, because there is
so much pent up emotion here, so much i could have said, it could have easily
been overworked and wordy. that yo felt as much as did really warms this heart, ty.
You continue to take my breath away with the beauty of your words. This is a most wondrous poem and touches me deeply. You are an artist little brother and I think the angels live inside your sweet and open heart.
you humble Sis. i was purposely ambigous with details and i worried
that the emotion of the moment might get lost because of it. that you
could be touched, touches me, ty so much!
i have something to ask you, could you email me one of these days please.
just add @hotmail to the end of my screen name…and don’t worry, it’s a good thing!.
This is truly lovely and touching. I envy you such moments. Again, I’m so happy you have such a wonderful bond with Cbear. To be able to have conversations that inspire work like this is a gift. Treasure ALL the moments with her 🙂
Hugs
ty dear Melanie. the thing is, our relationship is transitioning into a
friendship now, we enjoy spending time together, hangin’ out, giggling,
sharing music. i don’t have that many people in my life like that, so
yes, i absolutely treasure the moments for so many reasons.
Love and Hugs back ‘atcha Melanie, ty.
the music is wonderful…
though your words had their own music drifting
on the nights wind…..
Beautiful….I like this very much….
Take Care…You Matter…

maryrose
this group makes incredible music maryrose, i’ve been waiting for
the right poem to come along to use this song as a backdrop. and ty,
it felt good to write in fantasy mode too, i’m so glad you liked it.
sending Love and Hugs to you maryrose,
congratulationa again on your 2 year anniversary.
stunning x
*blush* ty Dawn. there were so many ways i could have written this
cathartic poem, your reaction tells me that i might have chosen wisely.
i am so glad you enjoyed it!
I really love this, WC (it’s okay that I’ve nicknamed you WC, right? Do you prefer another nomer?)
The thought of a place where love and stars are eternal gills me with Serenity.
Sigur Ross– nice! I’ve only recently discovered them through a friend. Sounds like fancy champagne to me, haha. Go Do is a favorite.
Enjoy today! Christy
Hugs! ((And no scrimpy ones either, lol)
yes, of course it’s ok Christy, i love it. ty so much for liking this,
it felt good to escape into a little loving fantasy for this poem,
i think i need to do more of it and excercise my imagination more.
and Sigur Ros has been around, i think this song is from ’93 if i’m not mistaken,
right in your wheelhouse of musical history. thanks for Go Do, i’ll have to check
it out now that you rec’d it. ha, a fine champagne lol, it does!
and ty for the non scrimpy hugs, back ‘atcha with Love!
i’ll be over a little later, just getting Cbear packed
to go back to her moms after our great week.
Feel free to stop by whenever you get some time to refect; Jennie did a really calming set of water-inspired pieces this weekend, even opening with Bambi. It ‘flows’ as peacefully as a river… Next week (unless we break for the holiday, but I don’t think we will) will be earth-(element) themed.
I had to double-check that “Go Do” song, in case I remembered wrong. It’s actually a Jonsi song, who I guess was (is) the lead singer for Sigur Ros.
The video is here near the bottom of the post.

And in the comments, a friend posted another SR song, I don’t remember the tune itself, but I remember in the video everyone was hopping around and jumping into the puddles–it was very sentimental–“Hoppipolla”.
Have a great evening, WC,
Christy
yeah, i didn’t recognize that title from sigur Ros, ty for the linky to the song.
oh, and the serene water elements sound like perfect reading for tonight, i
love reading in the dark of night when everything’s asleep.
you have a wonderful night too Christy, we’ll talk again tomorrow.
Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing. Just what I needed.
well, ty Deborah, ty very much. it warms my heart that
these words might provide you a little comfort.
