Monday Haiku…..every little thing

my memories are

a collection of details,

that would normally
.
.

remain unnoticed.

because it’s the little things that
.
download (4).
.
i treasure the most.
.
.

i absorb them all,

because it's the little things that

i love about life.
.
.

i memorize them,

because it's those little things that

i love about you.
.
.
.

  1. now if my man wrote that to me..I’d well..I’d… be very happy. *sigh*

I thought haiku were only 3 sentences, are there more forms of haiku?

    • yes, in it’s strict definition it is Charly,
      3 lines, 5, 7, 5, for a total of 17 syllables.

but i’ve been ‘stacking’ them when i need to tell a story,
using the syllable discipline to keep me honest and spare.
i like writing Haiku after writing so much prose, to reoreint
my poetry frame of mind. it helps alot.

there are 4 or 5 of these ‘stacked’ Haiku on the
‘your favorites’ list on my sidebar if you’d like
      to read some more.

and it’s good to see you again, Charly, ty.

Good to learn more about poetry, I´ll be checking out more of the “your favourites”.
Little by little I´m getting in to poetry, but I still have a long way just with prose. Thanks for the explanation.

I absolutely love these haikus…the way they lead so gently and beautifully to that last line. Really fantastic writing. Reowr! 🙂

    • oh, a Reowr! thank you Cubby, you just made my day!

i’m so glad you are enjoying them because i am so
smitten with this form, the sparsness, simple words,
stripped of metaphors, the tempo if the words are
      chosen correctly…

oh and i like the beckoning, to the last line too!
