I listened as I wrote this response. I think I can see where you came from ..the beauty of the pictures floated as a daydream of wishing and memories and wondrous things in life. Capturing a moment in time of beauty where other wise there may not have been. That was my interpretation of your piece. Music and photos play such an important part to a writer. Enjoyed – thank you.
thank you, am always wearing headphones as i walk the noisy streets, music keeps the world at bay. π sometimes i’ll have a poem half written in my head by the time i get home. π
and my quirky process for writing …first the inspiration, then the title, the image then a song to listen to while writing…a soundtrack running through while i write. music is absolutely essential and the best investment i ever made towards this new craft was a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones.
silence is heaven…..
Sounds like a wonderful way to write too π
I liste to music on the mac whilst I write..amazing how one’s mood can change and words depending on what you listen too.
Silence apart from music is heaven π
how oneβs mood can change and words depending on you listen to….
absolutely true, there are so many songs that have such imposrtance to me, i’m so glad i can marry them to my words now! π
Excellent keep on listening and writing and I shall try and listen some more as I write (as I don’t do it often enough) π¦
seems to me your own process is working quite well, i really enjoy when you veer off into poetry…a very gentle and sensitive touch that resonates with me. π
Thank you, I’ve reached a little WB with poetry the last few days need some inspiration! Argghh! π
Sometimes as we know the words will flow easily..other times not.
you and i are very fortunate that we write prose or stream of conciousness…i think it helps a lot to toggle back and forth, one feeds the other i find..
your words will come when they’re ready, at least that’s how it seems to work with me. and i need to thank you for our conversation lastnight because it was the final impetus to finishing ‘current’. essentially it’s the true joy i feel being an artist again, writing poetry, possibly leaving something beautiful in the world when it wasn’t there before.
thank you. π
Yes SoC very much so and yes my words shall find their way onto the page again. Currently I am writing a 1500 short story for a friend who writes on here. She asked if I would be interested in doing a piece as she teachers writing – so I am concentrating on that for now as I must have it done by the end of the month. You do not need to thank me for the conversation, I am glad that I was able to assist in some way, but I shall take your thank you and smile knowing that we are here to be each other’s strength sometime whilst we write. So thank you also π
you are most welcome and now off to nap before work, haha i’ve been up all night writing. π
have a wonderful day! “
Thank you sleep well π
Nice. As I listened I felt incredibly drawn in, amazing job. Thank you for sharing this,
I always enjoy your work as little as I say it i really do mean it.
thank you happy, well sometimes the less we say, the more it means when we say it. i really appreciate you reading my words and reply, means a lot to me.
Aahhh, quite the observant learner~ magnificently captured in rhytm, step by step a snapshot !
